Roof pull strap or similar

Hi, Having just bought my first Mx5 a NC Launch edition and love it.
But having always had convertibles with power hoods I am finding it extremely hard to close the roof from inside the using my left hand (UK) over my shoulder as I suffer from a bit of arthritus in both shoulders

Has anybody come up with a suitable mod to make this a lot easier?

Taximan...being 70 I have the same issue, but your message title maybe raises a solution. Thinking toward attaching, velcro or glueing, a leather or nylon strap to the apparatus
in order to turn around to the right in the cabin, grab raise and pull....hmmm.
