I took my 2012 Miata Mazda MX5 Sport in to mechanic because the starter needed to be replaced. Won’t even start. Mechanic wants to charge me $2500. For new starter motor and because he said he has to remove motor bracket to get to it. He said bracket is rusty and also needs replacing. Does this sound reasonable? I feel like I’m being taken advantage of. Any suggestions?
